|Dr. Frank Baliko, B.Sc. (Hons.), D.C. – Chiropractor/Clinic Owner|
Dr. Baliko is a dedicated and caring practitioner who is committed to improving the health and well being of his patients. His clinical interests and treatment approach incorporates both traditional chiropractic techniques as well as active based therapies that involve deep tissue therapy, dynamic movements and clinical exercise. Dr. Baliko earned his Honours Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Toronto in 1999. For the next several years he dedicated his time studying and researching bone and soft tissue tumors in children and osteoarthritis development in adults. It is through this work that Dr. Baliko became inspired to become more hands in treating patients with bone, joint and soft tissue injuries.
In 2007, Dr. Baliko graduated with Honours from the New York Chiropractic College (NYCC). He has completed his certifications in both Ontario and the United States. He is registered with the College of Chiropractors of Ontario (CCO) and is a member of both the Canadian Chiropractic Association (CCA) and the Ontario Chiropractic Association (OCA). Dr. Baliko has continued to enhance his skills by becoming a certified provider of Active Release Technique (Spine, Upper Body and Lower Body) and Graston Technique (GT).
Fun Fact: When Dr. Baliko is not treating patients at the clinic you can find him enjoying the outdoors. Some of his favorite sports including bike riding, playing squash, baseball and golf. In his mind, Dr. Baliko is scratch golfer and aspires to shoot his first hole in one someday. Dr. Baliko is also a big fan of the Toronto Blue Jays and enjoys taking in a game or two at the Roger’s Center. Dr. Baliko strives to live a fun, active and healthy lifestyle and encourages his patients to do the same.
|Dr. Alan Ali, B.Sc. (Hons.), D.C. – Chiropractor & Acupuncture Provider/Clinic Director|
Dr. Ali received his Doctor of Chiropractic degree in 2009 from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College (CMCC) and earned his Honours Bachelor of Science degree from McMaster University in the Biology/Life Sciences Program. He has also completed his certification in Contemporary Medical Acupuncture from McMaster University. Dr. Ali completed his certification in Ontario and is registered with the College of Chiropractors of Ontario and is an active member of the Canadian Chiropractic Association as well as the Ontario Chiropractic Association.Dr. Ali firmly believes in treating his patients using a holistic, multi-disciplinary approach in order to treat the root cause of injury and dysfunction and not just a set of symptoms to help them recover quickly and prevent future recurrences. Dr. Ali utilizes a variety of manual chiropractic joint and soft tissue techniques along with acupuncture to help patients decrease pain and restore range of motion to improve functioning to the affected muscles, joints and nervous system.
Fun Fact: Dr. Ali likes to spend his free time hanging out with friends and family, trying out new foods in the city, listening to music and going to concerts. He likes to keep active by heading to a local gym, doing fun obstacle runs, playing volleyball or working out with fellow staff at the clinic. Our Core workouts are hard-CORE!!
|Guiti Moghtader, B.Sc. (Hons.), B.Sc. P.T. – Physiotherapist/Clinic Director|
Guiti is a member of the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario in good standing. She completed her undergraduate degree in the Pharmacology/ Toxicology program at University of Toronto with Honors. Guiti soon realized her passion for the human body, anatomy and exercise physiology and decided to pursue her degree in Physical Therapy. After graduation, she started her career at Scarborough General Hospital from 2001- 2010 where she had worked on multiple wards such as Internal Medicine, Oncology, Cardio-Respiratory and Orthopaedics. Guiti also managed and triaged patients in the hospitals fracture clinic treating patients with musculoskeletal issues from fractures, ligament sprains and strains, sport injuries and post-surgical repairs. Shortly after, Guiti was given the opportunity to become the hospitals Clinical Supervisor overseeing Physiotherapy students from the University of Toronto and Physiotherapy Assistants from Humber College. Amazingly, Guiti had found the time to maintain her skills by working in multiple private settings both as a treating practitioner and clinical manager/director. Guiti has taken extensive post-graduate courses including certification from the Advanced Physical Therapy Institute, Level 2 manual therapy certification and Level 2 McKenzie certification. Her journey has been dedicated to ongoing education and providing excellent patient care.
Fun Fact: Guiti likes to travel and visit many new places and experience different cultures. She enjoys dance lessons, going to movies, jogging, hiking and trails. She loves outdoor activities such as swimming and boating. Her hobbies also include designing.
|Dr. Giancarlo Barranca, B.Sc. (Kin.), D.C. – Chiropractor & Acupuncture ProviderDr. Giancarlo Barranca graduated from York University with Honours in Kinesiology. Following his undergraduate studies he attended the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College and successfully earned his Doctor of Chiropractic degree. Dr. Barranca also completed the Contemporary Medical Acupuncture course at McMaster University for health care professionals.Dr. Barranca’s treatment plans may include a combination of contemporary medical acupuncture, joint manipulation, soft tissue therapy, instrument assisted therapy, rehabilitation protocols and taping. Dr. Barranca applies these techniques to aid in the health and wellbeing of all patients with various musculoskeletal conditions, with an interest on the prevention and treatment of sports related injuries.|
Fun Fact: Dr. Barranca has been actively involved in athletics and interested in sports since an early age. He played competitive soccer for many years and currently participates in leagues around the GTA. He also watches a variety of sports and can endlessly discuss matters associated with the NFL, NHL, MLB and international soccer.
|Ashish Patel, B.Sc., B.Sc. P.T. – Physiotherapist|
Ashish is a Registered Physiotherapist with focus on musculo-skeletal conditions. He is enthusiastic about continuing education and using evidence-based practices to provide the best care for his patients. He has completed certification course on Mulligan therapy and wishes to further pursue courses in Acupuncture and dry needling. He is also a Certified Exercise Physiologist from American college of sports medicine.
His core strength is Mulligan therapy, Exercise Prescription and Active Rehabilitation. He believes in finding the root cause of the problem and treating it. His motto is making people independent from dependency and helping them to live pain free and healthy life.
Outside of work, Ashish enjoys running, photography and nature.

Alessia is a certified Athletic Therapist, and a member in good standings with the Canadian Athletic Therapy Association. As graduate from York University, with a degree in Kinesiology, she has worked with various varsity teams, including football, hockey and Track and Field. Currently, she is working towards a Doctor of Chiropractic degree at Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College (CMCC), here in Toronto.
Alessia has a concrete belief in Exercise as Medicine and feels exercise is a vital part to injury rehabilitation. By empowering her clients with exercise, she will enable them to take power over their own body and lead a healthy, fulfilling life.
|Obaid Mallick, B.Sc. (Kin.) – KinesiologistObaid is a graduate from the Kinesiology program at The University of Toronto and holds a Diploma in Fitness and Health Promotion from Humber college. Throughout his academic and professional career, he has worked in the health and wellness industry for a variety of multidisciplinary facilities, corporate wellness organizations, community colleges and secondary schools. From his experience, he has learned to not only prescribe exercise but movement and help clients improve their health and wellness, ultimately enhancing their quality of life. As well, Obaid is a firm believer in the importance of exercise and modifying any practice to accommodate one’s abilities to increase participation in sport and physical activity. Obaid is committed to his personal and professional development and is currently pursuing his Exercise Physiologist certification with the Canadian Society of Exercise Physiology (CSEP-CEP) and expected to receive his Registered Kinesiologist (R.KIN) in September.|
Fun facts: Obaid enjoys regularly travelling and has spent time in Europe, India, and the United States exploring cultures, participating in local traditions, and enjoying favourite sites and attractions. He is frequently active in sports such as volleyball, basketball, ultimate frisbee, rock climbing/bouldering, and mountain biking. As well, competed in marathons and obstacle course events that included CIBC Run for the Cure and Tough Mudder. When he’s not travelling the world or participating in sports, he enjoys spending time with family and friends, watching movies, going to concerts and listening to podcasts such as the “The daily”, “The School of Greatness “, Ted Talk, ESPN First Take and “The Joe Rogan Experience”.
|Nicole Best, B.Sc. (Kin.) – Registered KinesiologistNicole is a Registered Kinesiologist, who graduated from York University with a Bachelor’s of Science Specialized Honours in Kinesiology in 2015, and continued her education at Humber College, completing an Ontario graduate certificate in Exercise Science and Lifestyle Management in 2016. In 2016, Nicole became a member and has continued her member status through the Ontario Society for Health and Fitness and completed her Heart Wise Exercise Training Course & Exam. Additionally, she is also Mental Health First Aid Certified.|
Nicole is a firm believer of Exercise is Medicine, thus, is committed to improving health through exercise prescription. Along with working in clinic, Nicole trains hockey players and Redbull Crashed Ice athletes from the GTA, ranging from all skill levels and ages. On her spare time, she enjoys competitive horseback riding, hockey, and soccer.
|Laura Kuelling – Registered Massage TherapistLaura studied at The Canadian College of Massage and Hydrotherapy and graduated with honors in 2013. She received a certificate in hospital specialization where she spent most of her outreach programs at Toronto Rehab Center. She also took advanced training in prenatal massage and Indie Head massage. Since she became a Massage Therapist, Laura has experienced working in both the clinical and spa settings. Laura likes to combine many modalities in one treatment focusing on deep tissue, trigger points and fascia to relieve pain and tension. She has worked with many kinds of chronic conditions and injuries throughout her career and believes that manual therapy is a valuable addition to any healing regimen. Laura continues to learn new techniques as well as attending courses to further her knowledge of the practice and to keep up to date throughout her career.|
|Donna Padua – Registered Massage TherapistA member of the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario (CMTO) and Registered Massage Therapists’ Association of Ontario (RMTAO), Donna took her Massage Therapy certification from Humber College with honours. Through her studies, she had the opportunity to participate in massage therapy research and outreaches (off-campus hands-on training) for pre- and post-natal massage, infant massage, pre- and post-event athletic massage, AIDS, palliative care, diabetes, multiple sclerosis and breast health clinic.|
Prior to her education as an RMT, Donna was exposed to Raja Yoga meditation in 2005, an ancient South Asian meditation practice where mindfulness and focus is used in order to clear and calm the mind. Where meditation provides her with mental flexibility and strength, she is also a yoga enthusiast practicing since 2006. Donna believes that while it is important to have physical flexibility, it is just as important to have strength in structures where needed in order to prevent injuries down the road. Which is why she also actively participates in fitness classes.
She has a keen interest in the body’s fascial/connective tissue network and its relationship with pain and is working her way to specializing in rehabilitative massage therapy for work-related and/or compensation injuries, joint and arthritic rehabilitation, deep tissue/myofascial massage, acute, sub-acute, and chronic pain.
|Amanda Volpone – Registered Massage TherapistAmanda Volpone is a Registered Massage Therapist and a graduate from Everest College. She is trained in various techniques of massage, which include: Swedish, Myofascial Release, PNF stretching, Deep Tissue, TRP Therapy, Craniosacral Therapy and Pregnancy massage. Within her treatments she intentionally creates a massage that will suit your specific needs towards wellness and improvements.|
Amanda strongly believes in massage as a viable modality for relieving physical and emotional stress and for enhancing overall health. During her time away from work, she remains active by coaching and playing soccer, running and cycling.
